When Coachella was Blessed by Madonna
Ah, Coachella - 5 years ago. My first and last music festival with the only person that could get me there - MADONNA. It was hotter than shyt, we got there at 7 am to insure we were in the front - we ran like animals down to the tent - people were falling on their face, snow cones were flying in the air - it was horrible and wonderful all at the same time. Coachella and that indie nothing crowd had no idea what hit them. They have never been blessed by Madonna. Which is why everyone was so jaded when she announced she would be there.
At the last minute they had to figure out what they were going to do. They figured on wrist bands. We got them and we were the first 20 in line and we waited there all day in the scorching heat. It was fabulous, we were in the front and what I really remember is during Hung Up when she gets on the floor and starts crawling that she came toward the end of the stage and looked right at me with those Who's That Girl Eyes. Fantastic! When she was done, you couldn't get me out of there fast enough. Bring on Miss Ross, The Boss and her helicopter to charter me away!
At Coachella drenched in sun screen - EAT IT!

Out Magazine

Corman says:
"She was like the Pied Piper of the neighborhood - [the kids] loved her. They followed her, they danced with her, they sang with her. It was something they did on a daily basis, and it was remarkable. We just walked up and they gathered around. She put the boom box on -- it was her music, though I don’t remember which song - and they just started dancing and singing. She was so alive and unpretentious. She was fierce, determined. Nothing was going to stop her."

Well, Out Magazine finally got it right because whatever they were thinking in 2006 is beyond me when dealing with The Greatest Star That Has Ever Lived for her first ever Out Magazine cover.

Future Lovers/I Feel Love - Confessions Tour
Future Lovers/I Feel Love from The Confessions Tour in London, 2006. One of the most exciting openings ever. I was there for both nights of the filming. One of the nights was her birthday and we all wore birthday hats. It was fabulous. She was fabulous. It was the first time I had been to London and had the greatest time with my friends Val, Tom (long O) and Camille. Nobody does it better. And really - who else would you travel around the world to see? Only for The Greatest Star That Has Ever Lived.
Here's some opening footage shot by the wonderful Robster from MadonnaMad forum. Fantastic.

You Thrill Me
I'm having a Confessions renaissance. I was in London for the filming of this show on August 15/16th. Per usual, Madonna was mesmerizing - my friends and I all had the time of our lives. Erotica/YouThrill Me from the Confessions Tour in 2006. Fantastique!

Fabulous
If you don't think this is a great video - you are NOT a fan. Lucky Star 2006. I'll never forget the day it was released and a certain someone I woke up. Never wake this someone.
I was in the gym and everyone stopped when this was played. End.
