Madonna's Ex-Dancer Luis Camacho on Super Bowl Half-Time

Camacho in Madonna's 1990 Vogue Video.

23 years ago, Luis Camacho and Jose Xtravaganza taught Madonna how to Vogue. Camacho was a dancer on Madonna's Blond Ambition tour in 1990 and, of course, seen in Madonna's revolutionary documentary, Truth or Dare (1991). Here he is with some other schwanzlutchers weighing in on her Super Bowl half-time performance.

Madonna at the 3rd Annual APLA Dance-A-Thon

@aplatweets

On April 21, 1991 at The Sports Arena in Los Angeles - where a year earlier Madonna did 5 nights of her Blond Ambition Tour (and yes, I was there every night) - Madonna hosted the 3rd annual APLA Dance-A-Thon. She brought along her friends Herb Ritts, Juliette Hohnen and the Blond Ambition dancers and back up singers.

3 years earlier she had done the first ever APLA Dance-A-Thon with her mentor Christopher Flynn who died of AIDS shortly after in 1990. At a time when the consensus was that AIDS was only a homosexual disease, Madonna - the biggest star in the world - not only crusaded for but also tried to convey to the public that it could affect anyone and had been doing so since the beginning of her career.

Don't know who filmed that fabulous footage but I'm glad they did. Madonna visibly clocks at the end but she knew that camera was on her the entire night. Trust. Ha! xo

I always loved this day - so cool and beautiful here. Just Sex Sex Sex - great outfit, great hair, great Madonna.

Girlie Show Ticket Sales Brisbane, Australia

For Madonna's only appearance in Brisbane, Australia in November 1993 with The Girlie Show, it looks like a few had predicted that it would be a once in a lifetime opportunity. A girl that waited 8 days in the freezing cold and received queue number one got the much coveted Front Row Seat! 100,000 tickets sold in a matter of 5 hours.

Debbie Harry: "I Could Have Been Madonna."

No, slumber drug stump. No.

Wake up from the drug haze, delusional Debbie. Don't make me break it down for you from the 1976 Blondie/Blondie album until the advent of MTV. Blonde hair, a beautiful face and red lips a Madonna does not make. Dear Debbie, you needed all the ingredients and you didn't have them and it's not just the drive.

I feel kind of bad saying this because I've adored and loved Debbie Harry since I've been a kid but she's absolutely off her rocker if she thinks this is the case.

She's joining the likes of the farcks Boy George and Elton John - put here wonderfully by the brilliant Acko:

'For achievement in the field of throwing Madonna Louise Veronica Ciccone under a bus for self promotion. To mention her name or comment
on her illustrous career for publicity reasons.' -

Madonna and Joan Collins at the 64th Annual Academy Awards Spago Party

At Swifty Lazar's Spago party.

In one article I read years ago about Lazar, Joan Collins was inquiring about the name cards at her table before the guests arrived, she asked Swifty, "Who is this M. Ciccone?"

Fabulous! Gorgeous! Brilliant! MADONNA! The Making of "Give it 2 Me"

This is an experiment.

I've always said that Madonna at 50 reminded me of Marilyn Monroe at 36 except more beautiful. Everyone dismissed it but once again...

and it's not the hat.

Desperately Seeking Susan bloopers. This show, TV's Bloopers & Practical Jokes, was so ridiculously popular in America back in the day. Wasn't my cup, until I heard Susan bloopers were going to be on! Heeeeeeeeeeey!!!
