Madonna Photo From Oprah Finale
Madonna was in Chicago today for Oprah's Finale taping.
Live from Chicago: It's Oprah's big surprise
7:37 p.m. Hanks and Oprah are back on stage. And here's Madonna! "So, you look surprised," says Madonna. "Yeah!" says Oprah.
"It's no secret millions of people are inspired by Oprah," says Madonna. "I am one of those people. She's a self made woman who has been at the top of her game for 25 years and she is still kicking a--, encouraging people to dream big, work hard, to read a book, get an education, ask questions - no matter who you are or where you come from. She fights for things she believes in, even if it makes her unpopular. She has balls and a wealth of compassion. I've learned so much from her."
Madonna says Oprah has inspired her to continue her work at her school in Malawi, despite the setbacks.
"I hope to have that same thrill in the years to come, to see that I, too, have made a difference. Oprah, may the next chapters be even better. I stand before you on behalf of the many you have helped and vow to be more courageous and never give up. Never. ... Thank you for inspiring me."
Madonna adds, "After 25 years what will Oprah's shows legacy be? Just look at this audience." The audience is now holding up cards and videos are being shown on it, featuring videos of people in countries around the world holding the letter O and mentioning how the show has changed them.

Helen Reddy Is a Woman that Can't Find a Brassiere and Blames Madonna!
These glorious pasties have ruined Helen Reddy's life.As I've said a million times, All Roads Lead to Madonna - and as we can see by singer Helen Reddy's recent shopping trip - this even includes a trip down the underwear aisle. I wrote a piece about Madonna and The Merry Widow HERE. Anyway, poor Helen couldn't find a bra and blames Madonna. This is Liz Rosenberg's classic response according to the New York Post:
"Why should Madonna be blamed for Helen Reddy not being able to find a good-fitting bra? . . . I know plenty of whores who wear sports bras instead of bustiers. Don't judge a book, Helen."
She is Woman, What a Bore.
Here is some of Helen's unfortunate story: "I was in London earlier this year, and I had to get some new bras -- because [mine] were falling off me," Reddy, 68, tells host Janet Powers. At a department store, "I go into the women's lingerie department, and they've got pasties -- you know, like strippers wear," Reddy says.
"They've got all these little fancy things, which all have wires -- which I believe cause breast cancer -- but nothing that's for women who are older, or who are heavier, or who would like to dress like a lady.
"So I finally said to the salesgirl, 'Do you have any underwear that isn't slutty?' -- and she pointed me to the sports department!"
"When I was a girl, we used to complain we were divided into two groups: We were either virgins or we were whores," she says. "And then along came Madonna -- and now we're all whores.

Gursky Photo of Madonna Show Could Fetch $2 Million

Sotheby's upcoming contemporary-art sale in London is getting a dose of celebrity wattage from post-Warholian pop icon Madonna, thanks to a personalized photograph by Andreas Gursky that is scheduled to go on the block Feb. 10. Titled Madonna I, the nine-foot-high photo is an aerial shot of the singer playing to a packed Los Angeles audience on Sept.13, 2001. Part of her Drowned World Tour, the emotionally-charged concert had originally been scheduled for September 11, but was called off in the wake of the World Trade Center attacks. In the photo, Madonna has an American flag tied around her waist.
Gursky, the coveted artist known for his outsize, minutely detailed photographs, gave the photograph to Madonna — an art collector who owns more than 300 paintings by artists from Picasso and Man Ray to Damien Hirst — and inscribed a dedication to her on the back. Sotheby's estimates that the photograph could fetch as much as $2.1 million at auction. Madonna, however, is not the seller. According to the sale's catalogue, she parted with the piece in 2005, either cashing it in or giving it away, leading some to surmise the photo has been consigned by her ex-husband, Sherlock Holmes director Guy Ritchie.

Auction: Early Madonna Demo Cassette Recording went for $6,400.00 !!!
…Another unique item is a demo tape an unknown performer named Madonna made in 1979 to send to record companies in an attempt to get a recording contract. Accompanied by an acoustic guitar, it’s just Madonna, her music unadorned by post-production magic and elaborate orchestration. The songs on the tape include “All My Love,” “Hear Me” (a song that evolved into “Shine a Light”), “Simon Says” (which became the familiar “Love Express”) and “Little Lost Boy.”
estimate was $1,000.00 - $2,000.00 and sold for $6,400.00.
