American Music Awards 2011: Red Carpet Fashion

The 2011 American Music Awards was held in Los Angeles November 20.last night, and silver looks swept the red carpet. Check out the celebrities who sparkled in the event's red carpet.


Taylor Swift who won the Favorite Female Artist, Favorite Album, and Artist of the Year awards wore a sequin-covered gold gown by Reem Acra.
Selena Gomez in a silver satin gown with a deep-V neck by Giorgio Armani, silver Armani bag, and silver Jimmy Choo shoes.




Nicki Minaj who won the Favorite Hip-Hop/Rap Artist and Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Album awards wear an emerald silk taffeta gown with black lace bodice by Oscar de la Renta and Alexander McQueen wedges.
Jennifer Lopez received the award for Favorite Latin Music Artist in a one-sleeve, high-neck embroidered gown by Zuhair Murad.

Vivienne Westwood Red Label Fall 2011: London Fashion Week

Vivienne Westwood Red Label Collection for Fall 2011 were all about her signature looks, a lot of checkered, big shapes and excessive tailoring. At the London Fashion Week, the collection was presented in an Alice In Wonderland theme that came with a twist.

New York Hot Tracks - 1984

Everybody, Physical Attraction, Burning Up, Holiday and Borderline. These were the days!!! Wearing her Keith Haring/Vivienne Westwood Witches Collection skirt and the leather jacket that she wore on her first MTV interview with Mark Goodman, Madonna stopped by New York Hot Tracks and was just being Madonna.

The Witches Collection. This final collaboration between Malcolm McLaren and Vivienne Westwood included Keith Haring. Westwood found 'a magical, esoteric sign language' in the work of the New York graffiti artist Keith Haring. Most importantly, Madonna wore the best piece. A few of the early fans all time favorite skirt, if not the only skirt - The Devil Skirt!

Evidently, Haring was fuck'd over by Westwood and in mid 1983, Stephen Sprouce approached Haring at his Fun Gallery Exhibit wanting to collaborate on more clothes. Feeling burned and taken advantage of by the Westwood experience, he declined Stephen's offer.

Of course, we all knew of this collection via Madonna wearing that skirt in photo shoots with Eric Watson, Michael Putland and immortalized forever in Mary Lambert's and Madonna's Borderline 'film'.
