J. Crew's Bali Style Guide Catalog has sparked some buzz over the Internet. For the latest Spring looks, the brand's crew went to Bali and let their model pose against the ancient temples and the village of Ubud. The models were also photographed with local Balinese children who wore traditional religious dress.
Just like Donna Karan's ad campaign that features Adriana Lima with the locals of Jacmel (a town in Haiti), J. Crew's Bali Style Guide Catalog is accused of being racist/imperialist. See J. Crew's Spring 2012 "style guide" and judge if it violates anyone's race or religion. http://www.blogger.com/blogger.g?blogID=4484666217578135206#editor/target=post;postID=402346587483314124
